REDEFINING
THE PHYSICS OF ARCHITECTURE

This evening Tom Kundig, of Olson Kundig Architects, will be celebrating the release of his new book Tom Kundig: Houses 2 at New York Public Library's Stephen A. Schwarzman Building. Featuring seventeen homes, the book demonstrates how Kundig is actively redefining the vocabulary of architecture and his commitment to the experiential nature of space, branding him as a unique figure among international practitioners.

Join Tom and Town & Country executive editor Mark Rozzo tonight from 6 - 8 p.m. as they discuss the role of place, nature, materials, and craft in creating Kundig's bold and sensitive designs. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing at the event.

Doors open at  5:30 / Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, Margaret Liebman Berger Forum
First Come. First Serve.

TRIVIÁL NYC
COUTURE MILLINERY

"The Infernal Noir collection is inspired by the ghosts of animals,
ancient civilizations of the future, and patterns found in nature.
Each piece is 'birthed' in a very organic way. When creating my
work, I almost never sketch. I simply allow myself to freely
explore the possibilities and let each piece create itself.
I am a vessel by which my pieces build
themselves as they see fit.

Each piece is a unique and rare, one-of-a-kind creature.
They are my exquisite pets. My studio is something like a zoo
with all my 'animals' lined up, ready to go out and perch
on someone's head for the world to admire.
